Bihar State Shia Waqf Board receives 7% as Waqf tax from net annual income of the Waqf Estate as per section 72 of the Act 1995 and out of which 1% are being sent to Central Waqf Council, Delhi and as such its own income is 6% which is received form Waqf Estates besides this, the Bihar Government provides financial grant of 2,00,000,00 (Two Crore) in year 2017-18 and from the current financial year i.e. 2018-19 the said amount has been raised 2,16,000,00 (Two Crore Sixteen Lacks). Bihar State Shia Waqf Board has become financially strong to some extent due to such steps of the Bihar Government.
